About The Position

Per Diem Staffing Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for an 8-week contract at Kaiser San Diego’s Viewridge Medical Office Building. The assignment may be extended. The schedule is 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pay is $68.00 per hour.

The nurse will provide indirect patient care through cardiology provider message management and telephone triage, and will administer immunizations, start peripheral IVs, and administer medications through peripheral IVs.

Requirements

• California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent RN experience in an ambulatory/outpatient, clinic, specialty, urgent care, emergency department, or related clinical setting.
• Demonstrated experience with patient assessment, care coordination, patient education, and electronic health record documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency administering immunizations and other injectable medications.
• Experience initiating and managing peripheral IV lines, including venipuncture and IV medication administration.
