About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide and supervise patient care on a nursing unit. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for admitted patients. The role includes planning and coordinating care, interdisciplinary and discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Other related duties may be assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse when appropriately certified. The position is listed as full-time nights at Voyages Sugar Land. Requirements
- Hold an RN license in the state where applying.
- Hold current BLS certification.
- Obtain current ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; ACLS is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
- Current ACLS certification initially.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit.
