About The Position

Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more. The campus will also include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building. The $237 million facility will be one of Celina’s largest employers in the fastest growing city in the country. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification Required
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas
  • Work experience: at least 1+ years Labor & Delivery RN experience

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Strongly Preferred
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Preferred upon hire; required within 2 Weeks
  • Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) Preferred upon hire; required within 6 months
  • Current additional certifications as required by department

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
  • Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
  • Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner.
  • Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
  • Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
  • Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
  • Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development.
  • Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
