About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a full-time position (36 hours weekly) with night shifts (7pm-7am), specifically focusing on Weekend Only Work (WOW) plus one weeknight. The role is benefit-eligible and offers a sign-on bonus for experienced applicants. The NIU is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, providing high-quality care to adult patients with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1). The unit handles common neuroscience cases including strokes, TIAs, seizures, and various neurological disorders, and is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. The team is known for its exceptional teamwork, clinical expertise, and supportive environment, making it an attractive place for both new graduates and experienced nurses.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).

Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
- Function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.
