RN 2CD Neuro Intermediate PT Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Intermediate Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) on the night shift (7pm-7am). The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, providing care to adult patients with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1). The unit has 15 Neuro specific beds and 26 intermediate specific beds. Common neuroscience cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. The unit is a certified Primary Stroke Center and recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. The unit values teamwork, clinical expertise, professional growth, and mentorship. New graduate nurses are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN or LPN license.
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
