About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for their Neuro Intermediate Unit. This is a part-time position (24 hours weekly) with night shifts (7 pm-7 am) and is benefit-eligible. The Nursing Assistant, under general supervision and according to established procedures, functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse. They will provide delegated aspects of patient care and perform routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1). The unit cares for adult patients with common neuroscience cases including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. As a certified Primary Stroke Center, the unit is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center. The unit fosters a supportive environment with 24/7 leadership, including clinical coordinators and a stroke coordinator. New graduate nurses are welcome.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
