About The Position

As an Emergency Department RN at Froedtert South, you will care for patients with a wide range of conditions and needs. You will use assessment skills, clinical judgment, and teamwork to provide safe, timely care. Multiple scheduling options are available.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Current RN license or eligibility to practice in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Quickly assess patient needs and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and follow-up care.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
• Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
