About The Position

The Transfer Center RN coordinates direct admissions and hospital transfers to and from community hospitals, with the goal of transferring each patient to an appropriate Tenet hospital. The role works collaboratively to build relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff while representing Tenet Healthcare’s mission and values. The RN collaborates with clinical teams, medical staff, and leadership to identify, trend, and report barriers to patient access and throughput.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• At least four years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, including Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, or other related management experience.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• RN experience in an emergency room or critical care.
• Demonstrated professional leadership and problem-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible.
• Computer literacy in electronic medical records, word processing, and Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing, with staff, physicians, patients, and families, while demonstrating tact, enthusiasm, and patience.
• Sensitivity to cultural and bilingual issues.
