About The Position

The Transfer Center RN coordinates direct admissions and hospital transfers to and from community hospitals, with the goal of transferring each patient to an appropriate Tenet hospital. The role collaborates to build relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff in support of Tenet Healthcare’s mission and values. The RN also works with clinical, medical staff, and leadership teams to identify, track, and report barriers to patient access and throughput.

Requirements

• Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualifying for Registered Nurse licensure.
• At least four years of clinical experience in an acute care setting, including Charge Nurse, House Supervisor, or other related management experience.
• Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain flexible.
• Computer literacy in EMRs, word processing, and Excel spreadsheets.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing, with staff, physicians, patients, and families, exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience.
• Sensitivity to cultural and bilingual issues.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• RN experience in an ER or critical care setting.
• Demonstrated professional leadership skills, including problem-resolution capabilities.
