About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care organizes and provides nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel according to their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions, and contributes to the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals while meeting applicable Joint Commission and other regulatory or accrediting requirements. The role also responds to emergency calls and assists the ambulance team with medical services and safe patient transportation to medical facilities.

Requirements

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to become certified within one month of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to become certified within one year of hire.
Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire; required to obtain only once.
