Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions, and contributes to the facility’s and Essentia Health’s mission and goals while meeting applicable Joint Commission and other regulatory or accrediting requirements. The role responds to emergency calls and assists the ambulance team in providing medical services and safely transporting patients to medical facilities. The position is based at Ada Clinic - Bridges Med Center in the MED SURG - ADA HOSP department. It is a 0.9 FTE position with a rotating day, evening, and night schedule; start and end times vary. Weekend requirements are not specified. Holidays and call are not required.
Requirements
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
- Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to become certified within one month of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to become certified within one year of hire.
- Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within one year of hire; required to obtain only once.
