About The Position
Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is looking for dynamic Registered Nurses to join their team. This role is for individuals who desire to work in an engaging environment with a team of professionals dedicated to the healing and health of the patients served. Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital provides behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17, treating every patient with compassion and respect. They utilize evidence-based treatment approaches and individualized care to instill hope in patients, their families, and the community. The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit, consistent with the hospital's philosophy and objectives. They prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care using the nursing process, integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. They are authorized to initiate restraints or seclusion and assess their continuation.
Requirements
- Completion of accredited nursing program.
- Current license to practice nursing in Illinois.
- Nursing (RN) experience required.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Behavioral health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
