About The Position

Saint Clare's Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, New Jersey. The position works day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts and provides direct care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular laboratory. The nurse addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment and communicates with physicians about patient conditions as needed.

The role includes preparing procedure rooms and equipment, maintaining supplies and inventory, monitoring and recording patients’ conditions and physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and participating in performance and continuous quality improvement activities. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply, with details discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
• One year of clinical experience in a cardiovascular laboratory performing cardiac work or in a critical care area.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Communicate continuously and as needed with physicians about patient condition.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assess procedure room and equipment functioning and readiness.
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the cardiovascular laboratory team's needs are met.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular laboratory procedures.
• Continuously monitor and record patients’ conditions while they are in the cardiovascular laboratory.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
