About The Position

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular laboratory. The role addresses psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment and requires ongoing communication with physicians about patient conditions.

The nurse monitors and records patients’ conditions and physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures. The role also involves preparing procedure rooms and equipment, obtaining case supplies, maintaining equipment and inventory, and participating in performance and continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification and ACLS certificate upon hire; maintain current certifications.
• One year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
• Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
• Communicate with physicians continuously and as needed about patient condition.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory.
• Assess procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the Cardiovascular Laboratory team’s appropriate needs are met.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
• Continuously monitor and record patients’ conditions while in the Cardiovascular lab.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
