About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct perioperative care for adult patients undergoing urgent and elective cardiac catheterization, PCI, and electrophysiology procedures. The role includes real-time monitoring of hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms, managing conscious sedation, and administering emergency resuscitation medications. The nurse operates advanced endovascular equipment, prepares sterile fields, and assists interventional cardiologists during high-risk procedures. Post-procedure responsibilities include managing access sites, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and bleeding control to prevent complications. The position is based at Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle, Texas, in the Cath Lab, on a day schedule.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure obtained prior to hire or job transfer.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at time of hire.

• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
