About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Alexandria Family Medicine Clinic. The clinic has multiple specialty areas and a family medicine practice serving a mix of patients and cases. The RN uses the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care. The role includes coordinating care, assessing and educating patients, triage, and other nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with physicians and other interprofessional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, and practices within the applicable nursing scope, standards, and ethical guidance. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the schedule is four days per week with one day off. The position is a day shift with 36 scheduled weekly hours.

Requirements

Currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or possess multistate licensure if practicing in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
Practice within the applicable Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules, scope and standards of nursing practice, and professional ethical guidance.

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred.
A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
