About The Position
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is participating in the fourth annual State of North Carolina Career Expo, which will also serve as a Hiring Event for the department. They will be offering jobs on the spot to qualified candidates applying for Healthcare & Nursing positions. The Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with over 14,000 employees, responsible for safeguarding lives and property, and the care, custody, and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff, as well as probation/parole officers supervising individuals in the community. Other divisions include Administration, Health Services, Rehabilitation & Reentry, Special Operations, and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Nice To Haves
- As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
- As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
