About The Position
Registered Nurse in the Level III NICU at SMMC, which has approximately 190 births per month. The role may include floating to Mother-Baby for babies; nurses with couplet-care experience may float fully to that unit. The facility may call off one shift every two weeks. The position is open to 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour schedules. Contract assignments are available for 13–26 weeks. Start date is ASAP. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius should contact the account manager regarding the local rate. Shift differential is added after shifts are worked.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in the specialty.
- Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS.
- All requested time off must be included at submission; approval depends on facility needs.
- Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the Level III NICU.
- Float to Mother-Baby for babies as needed; nurses with couplet-care experience may float fully to Mother-Baby.
- Work every other weekend, with weekend frequency potentially exceeding every other weekend to accommodate unit needs.
