Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
About The Position
Registered Nurse working in the Cath Lab, with EP experience strongly preferred. The role is at an acute hospital and involves a 4x10 day schedule. The nurse may float within their scope to EP or IR to meet facility needs. On-call coverage is required one day per week and on the fourth or fifth weekend, from Friday at 1800 to Monday at 0730. Weekend work also includes on-call coverage and approximately one scheduled Saturday per month. The facility does not accommodate block scheduling and does not accept local candidates; the candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility. Alaska RN license is required in hand for an auto offer, though a pending license may be accepted. Time-off requests are reviewed individually upon offer, with only one request permitted per 13-week assignment. Guaranteed hours are 70 per two weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks. The position is at a 407-staffed-bed acute hospital that is a Magnet facility and Level II Trauma Center. The facility provides scrubs, uses Epic charting, and offers free parking.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- Alaska RN license in hand is required for an auto offer; a pending license may be accepted, but the license must be in hand for an auto offer.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Willingness to meet on-call and weekend coverage requirements.
- Permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
