About The Position

Odebolt Specialty Care, a 38-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Odebolt, Iowa, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents. The role is available full-time or part-time for weekend shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM. The RN supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety and quality of care, and collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Care Initiatives operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa and describes its workplace as inclusive, equitable, and welcoming.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or able to be activated in Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and ensure quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
