About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care in a skilled nursing environment at one of its more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role is offered as a full-time weekend package, with shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Compensation includes a competitive wage and shift differentials.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing, valid in Iowa or with the ability to activate it.
• Current, valid CPR certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Commitment to treating others with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
