About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to residents in a skilled nursing environment at one of its communities in Iowa. The role supports daily clinical operations, promotes resident safety, and works with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality care. The advertised schedule is full-time, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Compensation includes a competitive wage and shift differentials.
Requirements
- Hold a valid RN license in good standing; the license must be valid in Iowa or the candidate must be able to activate it.
- Hold current, valid CPR certification.
- Know federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and consistently treat people with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit and help ensure quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
