About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for primary care triage at the Fairfax Ambulatory Care Clinic in Fairfax, Virginia. This role is in an outpatient healthcare setting and provides healthcare resources to the nation's military community. The schedule is 39 hours per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 0630 to 2000. There are no on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements, and 11 federal holidays are paid days off.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Minimum of two years of RN experience.
Nice To Haves
- RN experience within the last five years is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments through physical examinations and evaluate presenting concerns.
- Review medical histories and assess symptoms to determine the nature and severity of medical conditions.
- Monitor and document vital signs.
- Initiate appropriate emergency interventions when necessary.
- Perform triage assessments to prioritize patients based on the urgency and severity of their medical needs.
- Communicate patient conditions, assessment findings, and changes in status to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Facilitate the safe and timely transfer of patients to appropriate treatment areas.
