Requirements
- Possession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient nursing care needs and preparing, implementing and evaluating the nursing care plan.
- Giving skilled nursing care and prescribed treatments to patients.
- Identifying physical and emotional illness of patients through observations and analysis of records.
- Coordinating plans of care with nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, physicians and other professional health workers.
- Counseling and guiding families in the prevention of illness.
