About The Position

The IMA Group is seeking experienced Field Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Orlando area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to focus on coordination and outcomes, not direct patient care, with no bedside care, weekends, or on-call requirements. It is a hybrid role involving local travel and remote documentation, supported by an established team and steady referral volume.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN license
• Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
• Proficient with technology and electronic documentation
• Reliable transportation for local travel throughout Orlando and surrounding areas
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

• CCM, CRRN, or related certifications
• Bilingual candidates

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans for injured workers
• Attend medical appointments and assess treatment progression
• Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
• Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
• Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations as needed
