About The Position

We are currently seeking experienced Registered Nurse Case Managers (RN) in the Nashville area to support workers’ compensation cases on a flexible 1099 basis. This is an independent, consultative role with autonomy in your day-to-day work, offering flexible scheduling and caseload opportunities. It is a hybrid role combining local travel with remote documentation, supported by an established team and consistent referral volume. The Field Nurse Case Manager will coordinate medical care for injured workers, acting as a liaison between providers, employers, adjusters, and attorneys. The role involves guiding treatment plans, monitoring recovery progress, and supporting safe, timely return-to-work outcomes.

Requirements

• Active Tennessee RN license
• Must be registered with the State of Tennessee to perform Workers’ Compensation Case Management services
• Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation Field Case Management experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
• Proficient with technology and electronic documentation systems
• Reliable transportation for travel throughout Nashville and surrounding areas
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance or ability to obtain

Nice To Haves

• CCM, CRRN, or related certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee medical treatment plans for injured workers
• Attend medical appointments and evaluate treatment progression
• Communicate with providers, employers, attorneys, and insurance carriers
• Prepare timely, detailed case management reports
• Assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Assist with return-to-work planning and transitional duty coordination
• Coordinate IMEs and job site evaluations as needed
