About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse for Wheaton Medical Center. The RN uses the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes and planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized patient care. The role offers an opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with a team of professionals, providing ongoing care and learning. The position may suit newly graduated nurses as well as experienced RNs. Nurses are expected to provide high-quality care to patients and families and to be adaptable, compassionate, communicative, detail-oriented, and effective at time management. Sanford’s education team develops curricula incorporating evidence-based practices and works with organizational partners to support nurses’ skills and career goals. The position has varied 12-hour day or night shifts to cover vacations, sick time, and leaves. At least one shift per month is required. Scheduled weekly hours are listed as 0.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including a program accredited by AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or possess multistate licensure if practicing in an NLC state.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
