About The Position

Full Time 0800-2030 Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. As part of a multidisciplinary teaching environment, the Cath Lab RN supports clinical excellence, fellow education, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice while delivering safe and compassionate patient care.

  • Ability to monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient condition
  • Ability to administer medications including moderate sedation and emergencies
  • Ability to assist physicians and fellows during procedures
  • Ability to respond to emergencies
  • Ability to anticipate procedural needs
  • Ability to maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards
  • Ability to perform post-procedure recovery care
  • Ability to document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EMR
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
  • Ability to maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, Structural Heart/TAVR and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Function in circulator, monitor and scrub roles across multiple Cath Lab Suites
  • Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient condition during procedures
  • Administer medications including moderate sedation and emergencies per protocol
  • Assist attending physicians, fellows during diagnostic, interventional, PCI, structural heart and complex interventional cases
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrest
  • Anticipate procedural needs in a high acuity, fast paced program
  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards
  • Perform post-procedure recovery care, including sheath removal and hemostasis management
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergent cases
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards
