About The Position

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey’s largest nonprofit healthcare systems, is seeking a full-time, highly skilled Gynecologic Surgeon with demonstrated expertise in vaginal surgical techniques to join their team. This role focuses on the surgical and clinical management of benign gynecologic conditions, with an emphasis on vaginal approaches. The ideal candidate is committed to excellent patient outcomes, surgical innovation, OB/GYN resident education/training, and collaborative care. All surgeries will be performed at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. Requirements

  • Highly skilled Gynecologic Surgeon with demonstrated expertise in vaginal surgical techniques
  • Committed to excellent patient outcomes, surgical innovation, OB/GYN resident education/training, and collaborative care

Responsibilities

  • Perform a high volume of vaginal surgical procedures, including vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapses and native tissue repairs
  • Evaluate and manage patients with gynecologic conditions requiring surgical intervention, including prolapse, incontinence (in collaboration with subspecialists), abnormal uterine bleeding, and benign pelvic masses
  • Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic evaluations, including pelvic exams, imaging, and office-based procedures
  • Utilize minimally invasive techniques when appropriate, prioritizing vaginal approaches over abdominal or laparoscopic routes when clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with urogynecology, urology, colorectal surgery, and primary care teams to coordinate multidisciplinary care
  • Educate OB/GYN residents and Medical Students on surgical options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to evidence-based guidelines
  • Contribute to teaching and mentorship of residents, fellows, or advanced practice providers (if in an academic setting)
  • Outpatient Obstetric clinic will be part of the care and educational rationale
