About The Position

A Full Time Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse provides expert nursing care to patients undergoing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. As part of a multidisciplinary teaching environment, the Cath Lab RN supports clinical excellence, fellow education, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice while delivering safe and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, PCI, Structural Heart/TAVR and peripheral vascular procedures
Function in circulator, monitor and scrub roles across multiple Cath Lab Suites
Monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and patient condition during procedures
Administer medications including moderate sedation and emergencies per protocol
Assist attending physicians, fellows during diagnostic, interventional, PCI, structural heart and complex interventional cases
Respond promptly to emergencies, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrest
Anticipate procedural needs in a high acuity, fast paced program
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards
Perform post-procedure recovery care, including sheath removal and hemostasis management
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
Participate in on-call rotation for emergent cases
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record
Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standards
