About The Position
The Registered Nurse on the 300 East Med-Surg Pulmonary unit manages care for patients experiencing medical conditions or undergoing surgical procedures. The role involves assessing patient condition, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, maintaining records, and providing support and education to patients and families. The nurse uses a broad range of medical care knowledge to serve a diverse patient population. The unit provides specialized care with an emphasis on telemetry, vascular surgery, and respiratory support in a challenging, fast-paced environment. It promotes teamwork and offers opportunities for professional growth, including certification and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN-approved program.
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
- Obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Time management skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Previous nursing experience.
