About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Intensive Care Unit at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, Florida, on a full-time night shift. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient condition, coordinates care among disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Florida Registered Nurse license obtained prior to hire or job transfer, or a current home-state license qualifying for multi-state Compact State recognition.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support credential from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates the patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
