Registered Nurse RN - Orthopedic Neurology and Spine
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Orthopedic Neurology and Spine department at Resurrection Medical Center delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN works within their scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role includes guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The RN communicates changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time night position, scheduled 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000; eligibility and payout terms apply.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current ACLS certificate.
Responsibilities
