About The Position
Fairview is seeking an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Orthopedic Spine Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. Located just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis near the I-35E and I-35W corridors, Fairview Ridges has been providing state-of-the-art care and exceptional community services to residents of the scenic Minnesota River Valley since 1984. The Orthopedic Spine Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital provides specialized care for patients recovering from total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and other orthopedic procedures, while also supporting medical overflow patients as needed. Our unit fosters a healthy, positive work environment for both staff and providers and is known for its collaborative, team-oriented culture and highly dedicated workforce. Nurses are supported by an engaged leadership team, including the nurse manager and patient care supervisor, and work alongside a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Registered Nurses (RNs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and Nursing Station Technicians (NSTs). Requirements
- MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- 1 year experience
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
- Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
- Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
- Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
- Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP).
