Registered Nurse RN- Orthopedic Neurology and Spine
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Orthopedic Neurology and Spine department at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. The role delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within the nurse’s scope of practice. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The nurse is accountable for care given to assigned patients and communicates changes in clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment. This is a full-time day-shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Responsibilities
