About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides safe and effective nursing care to adult and pediatric patients at West Boca Medical Center and the off-site West Boca Emergency Center, using the nursing process. The RN directs and supervises assigned personnel who deliver patient care and administers and performs specialized nursing care according to the assigned unit and patient treatment. The RN reviews orders and test results and documents care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 24 months of Med/Surg experience.
• Current Florida RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of the WBMC Medication test.
• Successful completion of the unit-specific test.
• Demonstrate yearly competencies specific to the unit.

Nice To Haves

• BSN.
• Critical care experience and completion of a critical care training program.
• Adult and pediatric emergency experience.
• At least two years of licensed nursing practice in an Emergency Department.
• TNCC, CEN, or ENPC certification.
