About The Position
Franciscan Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families. The RN listens to and assesses each patient, develops a plan of care, and implements, reassesses, and evaluates that plan. The role is based across Franciscan Health Michigan City Main Campus and the Franciscan Health Chesterton Infusion Center, with floating between locations according to patient need. This position is listed as 0.6 FTE, with hours that vary and flex with patient need. Patient ratios are acuity dependent, and the role includes a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Experience as a nurse is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients.
- Develop plans of care for patients.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's plan of care.
- Float between Franciscan Michigan City Main Campus and Franciscan Health Chesterton Infusion Center according to patient need.
- Work rotating holidays and weekends based on patient needs.
