About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus, with work also at the Franciscan Health Chesterton Infusion Center according to patient need. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening to and assessing patients, developing plans of care, and implementing, reassessing, and evaluating care. Patient ratios depend on acuity. The role offers a didactic learning experience in a fast-paced environment. The position is .9 FTE, with hours that vary and flex with patient need. Rotating holidays and weekends are scheduled based on patient needs. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Indiana or a state listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Experienced nurses required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Listen to and assess patients.
- Develop plans of care for patients and their families.
- Implement, reassess, and evaluate each patient's care.
- Float between Franciscan Michigan City Main Campus and Franciscan Health Chesterton Infusion Center according to patient need.
