About The Position

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital is seeking a Rehab Registered Nurse to provide clinical expertise and high-quality, efficient care to inpatient rehabilitation patients in a medical-surgical environment. The nurse assesses, plans, intervenes in, and evaluates patient care; instructs patients and families about medications and treatment; maintains and reviews patient records, including test and examination results; and administers medications according to physician orders. The hospital describes its nursing environment as supported by staffing, technology, supplies, and ongoing clinical education.

Requirements

• Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations, or appropriate compact licensure; if holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene in, and evaluate the care of inpatient rehabilitation patients.

• Maintain and review patient records, including posting test and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
