About The Position

This role provides direct clinical patient care in an intensive care unit. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, and implements direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The role also supervises staff to whom care is delegated and supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate management of patient-care resources.

Requirements

• Graduate from a state-approved or accredited school of nursing.
• Hold a current license, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy.
• CPR.

• An academic degree in nursing, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, comprehensive nursing care to patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection-control standards, aiming to discharge patients after providing an optimum level of care.
• Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Fulfill Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters.
• Know the Hospital’s emergency codes, their purposes, and the appropriate actions for each; follow related Hospital policies and procedures.
• Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
• Perform related duties as required.
