About The Position
Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a 167-bed community hospital in Southern California providing acute care services to Garden Grove and surrounding communities. The hospital offers general medical/surgical inpatient care, critical care, emergency services, orthopedics, maternity care, and wound care. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct care within the scope of practice. The nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit. The nurse is accountable for assigned patients, communicates clinical changes to physicians—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms—and responds promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
- Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate changes in patients’ clinical conditions to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
