Registered Nurse RN - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Department at Resurrection Medical Center delivers safe, direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is accountable for the care of assigned patients and provides care within the scope of practice while maintaining Telemetry Unit standards. The role includes directing and guiding patient and family education and the activities of other nursing personnel. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. This is a full-time, night-shift position working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. New graduates are welcome. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute-care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
