Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, direct patient care in its Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The RN uses the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation; guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel; and remains accountable for care delivered to assigned patients. The role includes communicating with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. San Dimas Community Hospital is a 101-bed facility on a 13-acre campus in San Dimas and is part of Prime Healthcare. The hospital provides comprehensive services and has received multiple awards, including recognition among the “100 Top Hospitals,” the Women’s Choice Award for America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety, and Healthgrades awards.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintenance of current certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintain standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit and remain accountable for care provided to assigned patients.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical condition, cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and response to treatment.
