About The Position
Franciscan Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Lafayette East Campus in Lafayette, Indiana. Nurses provide comprehensive care to patients and their families by listening to and assessing patients, developing plans of care, implementing them, and reassessing and evaluating each patient. The operating room has 10 rooms and a case mix that includes orthopedic and spine, vascular and open-heart procedures, laparoscopies, robotic hysterectomies, and spinal fusion cases. The opening is for a .9 day shift, with 30-minute call required. Various shifts are available Monday through Friday, with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts. Travel is never or rarely required.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing/Patient Care required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license from the state licensing board in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
- Unit-specific certifications from Franciscan Alliance, if required by the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association, if required by the unit.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, if required by the unit.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing/Patient Care preferred.
