About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the GI Lab at Texas Health’s Flower Mound facility, delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The role focuses on responding to patients’ safety, physical, and psychological needs while maintaining comfort and attending to human emotion during health and illness. The nurse contributes to nursing education, research, and innovation in nursing practice and works in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, day position with variable shifts Monday through Friday. The schedule may consist of four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with flexibility required based on department needs. Participation in the on-call rotation is mandatory. The department offers self-scheduling and a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required upon hire.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Schedule flexibility based on department needs.
• Participation in the on-call rotation is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• One year of endoscopy/GI experience preferred.
