About The Position
Hillsdale Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) on the 2nd shift. This full-time position involves 36 to 40 hours per week, including every other weekend. The role focuses on providing direct nursing care, administering medications, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining confidentiality. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus associates degree or higher in nursing
- Valid Michigan RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and TEAMS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)
Nice To Haves
- One year of Mental Health nursing experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Direct and carry out nursing activities for assigned shift
- Administer medication assuring consents are obtained on all psychotropic, anti-anxiety agents and antidepressants, and that patient is given medication information
- Ensure all discharge interviews and safety plans are complete for each patient
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of protected health information at all times

- 2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour
- 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour
- weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour
