About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care for the Medical-Surgical Unit (MSU), serving both adult geriatric and pediatric patients. This role operates within a 20-bed medical-surgical unit with excellent staffing ratios: typically 4:1 for non-COVID patients (maximum 5:1) and typically 2:1 for COVID patients (maximum 3:1). In addition to inpatient duties, there may be assignments to assist with flu immunization clinics. RNs are also expected to attend staff meetings and may need to float to other departments where qualified. Orientation is conducted on Mondays only, and missed compliance deadlines will result in rescheduling to the next available onboarding session. Holiday coverage is required.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of nursing experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
