About The Position

A qualified Registered Nurse is needed to provide care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn settings. The average number of deliveries is approximately 40 per month, including an average of 6 C-sections. The nurse may be required to serve as a charge nurse after completing the necessary training.

This position requires a 12-hour night shift, with flexibility to work day shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Holiday coverage is mandatory. Traveling nurses are occasionally expected to float to other departments where they are qualified. This may include taking patient loads or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights or phones.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting.
• American Heart Association ACLS or ALSO certification.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification; RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM.
