Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Medicine

Passport Health•Berkeley, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

Passport Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a specialized travel medicine role in Berkeley, California. The position focuses on autonomous, one-on-one patient consultations rather than a traditional high-pressure hospital or clinic environment. Nurses provide travel health guidance, administer vaccines, and develop expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases, international health risks, and pre-travel planning, with support from clinical leadership. This is a part-time position scheduled for 24 hours per week, with Monday through Friday availability options. Scheduling is based on client demand, which can vary by location and season. Passport Health aims to provide schedules with 6–12 months of consistency, though hours are not guaranteed in some markets. Availability within set scheduling windows is required, and flexibility—including preferred day and time coverage, weekends, or covering multiple locations—may increase scheduled hours. Peak travel seasons are typically February through August.

  • Strong patient communication and education skills.
  • Reliable access to a personal computer; training systems require a desktop or laptop.

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed, up to 25 lbs.
