About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency and mastery in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient- and family-centered care in a culturally competent manner while utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards for quality, safety, and service.

This is a temporary Seasonal Nursing Pool position. The candidate may commit to a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week contract. The role requires floating to areas throughout the hospital as needed or assigned and working three 12-hour shifts each week, including every other weekend, for 36 hours per week during the agreement period. Seasonal Nursing Pool employees do not accrue or receive paid time off, cannot request time off during the agreement period, and are not eligible for Baptist Health South Florida benefits, shift differentials, or bonus programs.

The estimated pay range is $62.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Med Surg Tele RN experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• Licensed Registered Nurse eligible to practice in Florida.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Certifications must be from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; PALS and NRP are required depending on the unit.
• Commit to a 12-, 16-, 18-, or 24-week Seasonal Nursing Pool agreement.
• Availability to work three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Ability to float to hospital areas as needed or assigned.
